Even though immediate implant placement was initially introduced to replace missing teeth in the esthetic zone, it is increasingly considered in the posterior region, as Molars constitute the most frequently extracted teeth within the arch, accounting for over 60% of extractions. Understanding a strategic approach for their replacement is of paramount importance. Recent research data also suggest some biological benefits in placing implant immediately after extraction, namely, to preserve the peri-implant tissues profiles.
This course aims to dive deep into the immediate implant concepts in the posterior region and to explore the interest of personalized sealing socket abutments (SSA). Biological principles, case selection, planning, surgical procedures and digital prosthetic workflows will be deeply explored and illustrated by case presentations.
