Even though immediate implant placement was initially introduced to replace missing teeth in the esthetic zone, it is increasingly considered in the posterior region, as Molars constitute the most frequently extracted teeth within the arch, accounting for over 60% of extractions. Understanding as trategic approach for their replacement is of paramount importance. Recent research data also suggest some biological benefits in placing implant immediately after extraction, namely, to preserve the peri-implant tissues profiles.
This master class aims to dive deep into the immediate implant concepts in the posterior region and to explore the interest of personalized sealing socket abutments (SSA). Biological principles, case selection, planning, surgical procedures and digital prosthetic workflows will be deeply explored and illustrated by case presentations.
The Master class also includes 3 hands-on sessions. The participants will practice immediate implant planning, surgical immediat implant placement with various anatomical challenges (related to socket design, sinus proximity, IAN…) and SSA procedures (conventional, digital, industrial) on 3D printed customized models.
The overall aims are to highlight the advantages and the limits of extraction and immediate implant in the posterior region, provide decision trees and practical insights, and effective workflows tailored to your specific clinical setting..
This first masterclass will also provide the participants with the necessary skills to consider stepping into immediacy in the esthetic area that will be covered in our second masterclass.
